The Konark Sun Temple is located in the state of Odisha, India. It lies about 35 kilometers north of Puri and around 65 kilometers from the capital city, Bhubaneswar. You can reach there by various modes of transportation. As per my suggestion, you can start your tour from Puri because from here you can book the tour packages from a good tour operator and they will give you two options like bus and cab, and they cover all the tourist places like Konark beach ,lingaraj temple etc. . Another option is you can book rental two wheeler or car from Puri for a whole day tour.

Chandrabhaga beach : The Chandrabhaga Beach is located close to the Sun Temple and is an excellent place to relax and it's about 3km from the temple.If you come from Puri to Konark then my suggestion is first visit this destination because it will meet you on the way.

ASI Museum : This is 1.1 Km far from Konark temple, there is a museum that houses a collection of sculptures, artifacts, and historical remains found in the area. The museum provides additional insights into the temple's history and the region's heritage.

IOC Konark Sun Temple Museum: This is a very informative place near Konark Surya Mandir and its 450m far from the temple. At this place you can know all the history through animated movie which is 15-20 min long, and Pictures , small architectural model of temple etc. Must visit here before temple visit and it has a 50 rupee ticket. My Experience at Konark Surya Mandir Tour

Konark Sun Temple is on top of my tourist places list because since childhood I have read about this place everywhere in the history of India.Before visiting this place I had done complete planning and research and I included this place in my Puri tour itinerary. I visited this destination nearly 10 am in the morning through a booked Cab from Puri and this 35 km road journey was my lifetime experience because it is a marine drive road and full of greenery on both sides of the road. At Konark temple , I had booked the guide in 400 rupees and he explained A to Z about the temple and you can also do a virtual tour with the guide through my vlog which is added above.
