Murudeshwar Beach in Karnataka -Timings, How to reach and More

Murudeshwar beach I visited recently and it's one of the scenic destinations in Karnataka. This beach is situated in Uttar Kannada District coastal area in Murudeshwar town of Bhatkal taluka, close to the famous Murudeshwar Temple.

This was my first time visiting any beach in Karnataka, and the experience truly impressed me.Murudeshwar beach is mainly a famous for second largest shiva statue which is on Kanduka Hill and its long stretch of clean white sand, the sound of waves, and the calm atmosphere make it a peaceful spot for travelers.

Karnataka has 79 beaches but Murudeshwar beach is one of the best of them because its clear view of the Arabian Sea combined with the spiritual vibe of the nearby temple. You can see fishermen at work, local visitors enjoying the evening breeze, and tourists taking photos along the shore.

Murudeshwar Beach Activities

Water sports activities are famous at this beach and Scuba Diving, Jet Skiing, Boat Riding you can do it here and you can also enjoy 100m Floating bridge that is Karnataka state's largest Floating bridge.  

I personally recommend trying the floating bridge activity because it makes you feel like you are standing right on the sea, with water all around you and waves gently moving beneath your feet.

Murudeshwar Beach timings 

Murudeshwar Beach is open throughout the day and night, so you can visit anytime, whether it is early morning, daytime, or late evening. But I recommend visiting in the morning or after 5 PM because the weather is more comfortable, the sunlight is softer, and the beach feels calmer and more pleasant during these hours.

 How to Reach Murudeshwar Beach ?

Murudeshwar beach you can reach easily through rail route and national highway NH 66 Mumbai - Kochi Highway but I recommended you to reach first Murudeshwar station by trains like Poorna express , matsyagandha express then you can reach the beach through auto rickshaw in 50 rs. 

• Murudeshwar railway station to Murudeshwar beach distance is 3.1 km
• Mumbai to Murudeshwar beach distance is 733 km by road

Best View Experience at Murudeshwar Beach in Karnataka

The beach view from the height is breathtaking and for it you don't need a drone but you need to visit the 17th floor of Murudeshwar temple gopuram.  From above, you can clearly see the wide stretch of sand meeting the deep blue sea, with waves moving in steady lines toward the shore.
