Koraput is the very peaceful tourist destination in south odisha and good place for nature lovers and here you can see a list of breathtaking places , and Upper Kolab dam is one of the tourist places from this bucket. This dam built on Kolab river reservoir and this river is part of Godvari river and generating Hydro Electric power and main water source of Koraput district.

My Tour Experience at Kolab Dam Koraput

Kolab Dam Tour did it in the month of November and this is a good time to go to this place because the weather is awesome at this time.To go to this place, I covered it on the first day of my 3-day Koraput tour itinerary because I stayed in Jeypore city and Kolab Dam is 41 kms away from Jeypore city, so if you ask me, you can book a cab and go to this place, which is the easiest way to go to this place. The route to this place is completely ghat and tribal area so only a local driver can take you around properly.

Kolab river reservoir is very mighty and deep, and surrounded by hills that make this place more beautiful and I took some good pictures for my memories. Here also has a botanical garden and its very beautiful and different types of trees you can see here so I spent half an hour at this garden and enjoyed the peaceful time and got the knowledge about trees. This is my good experience that is shared with you.

Kolab river water is crystal clear and surrounded by beautiful lush green hills that make this tourist destination more attractive.
Kolab Botanical Garden is very attractive and you can see over 200 varieties of flowering plants and trees.
Evening time you can enjoy a sunset view from the viewpoint and its offer panoramic vistas of the reservoir and the surrounding hills.
